Wow! Caught a random episode of The Dick Van Dyke Show on TV. In flashbacks, Rob & Laura tell their son Ritchie stories about their wedding. After wacky antics, Rob ended up with an "upper respiratory infection" and everyone wore cloth #masks to avoid getting Rob's illness! 😷 So a mainstream TV show from the 1960s had a normalizing, albeit comedic, portrayal of masking up in the presence of a contagious illness. #CovidIsNotOver Sooooooooo frustrated at the misinformation that abounds even now, more than 6 years into this pandemic. The Setting: A family gathering where a child is VISIBLY sick - lethargic, coughing, sniffling. The Ask: "Hey, here's a box of rapid covid tests, can you please test your kid?" Agghghhh!!! 😖 📅 I have a medical appointment next Monday. ✅ Last Monday I got a reminder text & confirmed the appointment via text. ✅ Also got both text & email with a link to pre-register online. (I am annoyed at how this task makes the appointment encroach upon non-appointment time, but I understand it helps the practice.)
