Sooooooooo frustrated at the misinformation that abounds even now, more than 6 years into this pandemic.
The Setting: A family gathering where a child is VISIBLY sick - lethargic, coughing, sniffling.
The Ask: "Hey, here's a box of rapid covid tests, can you please test your kid?"
The Reply: "That's not necessary, she's vaccinated."

I said, "Vaccination doesn't prevent infection. You know, vaccines are even only effective for like 4 months..." They clearly were NOT interested in being informed, only on pushing back on the testing. With multiple obviously high-risk family members in attendance, I pushed back harder and they finally agreed to test. The kid is negative (for now). 2/3
