  Amidst the Apple pricing shifts, I'm reminded that I still find my M1 13-inch MacBook Pro and my iPhone 12 perfectly sufficient for my needs. The only Apple hardware I've splurged on in the past few years was an Apple Watch S10, to replace a very agéd S3 I'd had since new.   Customer service is my job in my current role so I'm hyper-aware of how this reflects in my own experience. And I have to say, with one exception, every conversation I've ever had with the IRS has been exceptional in this regard. The people who answer the phones there are genuinely spot on when it comes to the human connection you need to get your questions answered and are helpful and friendly and empathetic. #irs #customerservice #empathy #irs

  Client came in wearing a scent I'd never smelled before; I asked her what she was wearing and she said it was Thierry Mugler Angel, which she noted she'd worn for years (apparently it debuted in the early 90s). "Featuring notes of patchouli, praline, vanilla, and bergamot," according to reviews. It's interesting to me when the right person wears the right scent and you immediately react to it. It happens so very rarely.
