Amidst the Apple pricing shifts, I'm reminded that I still find my M1 13-inch MacBook Pro and my iPhone 12 perfectly sufficient for my needs. The only Apple hardware I've splurged on in the past few years was an Apple Watch S10, to replace a very agéd S3 I'd had since new. I keep an active AppleCare+ account on all three devices because it's paid for itself more than once. Say what you will about Apple, but the longevity of most of their products is hard to beat.
