  When people ask why I would be for something akin to "Medicare for all" when I've never not had insurance, it comes down to WHY I've never not had insurance. Having expensive medical conditions since childhood, inclusion of adequate insurance was a key factor in EVERY job offer I took. It HAD to be. I couldn't take a job simply because it was interesting or non-minetarily rewarding. I HAD to o have medical coverage. Then, once I married, it became even more critical.

  In the DC area, there's a lot of drivers that operate on the assumption of "if there's a gap such that oncoming cars will see me and slow down if I pull in, it's safe to do so" These are people that will be involved in multiple car accidents across their driving lifetimes.   I think regularly making use of my #EV's "range" mode confuses its computer's range-calculations. On the one hand, it has generally changed from predicting 180mi-ish range for 100%-0% to prediction a 220-240mi range.   So, one of the nicer things about the stateful, conversational nature of chat-style #AI interactions is that you can be a lot looser with with your statements and requests. The context engines are good enough to pick out intention and discard nonsense, slang and colloquialisms. For the unfamiliar, "commence to jigglin'," comes from an Aqua Teen Hunger Force character.

  Alright. Spent part of day migrating my #minikube from #DockerDesktop bridged to #WSL2 to #Podman hosted in WSL. That will save me a few hundred MiB of system memory and some compute-cycles. Only required some very minor tweaks to my #kustomize enabled #NemoClaw configuration (LAYERS!!). Unfortunately, moving away from Docker Desktop meant I also had to update my system's hosts file. Oh well. Productive day.

  you would think that people who always back in to parking spaces would be better at it than they generally seem to be. Personally, I prefer head in parking. However, the charging port placement usually requires us to back in at public charges. Even as infrequently as I back in, I feel like I'm a lot better at it than people that always back in.

  Right now, insurance companies, pharmacy corporations and medical systems are advertising to lay blame on the others for spiraling medical costs. The ones blaming hospital consolidation are pretty obviously AI generated: the motions of the "people" pictured in them is too smooth and steady. People don't move that way, not even if they're trying to.
