I think regularly making use of my #EV's "range" mode confuses its computer's range-calculations. On the one hand, it has generally changed from predicting 180mi-ish range for 100%-0% to prediction a 220-240mi range. On the other hand, when you're out driving, the predicted range erodes much more quickly than what you're actually driving. I mean, we did get significantly better range on our Independence Day weeklong road-trip than we'd gotten on prior road trips (no need to charge, this time, on the 2.75hr outbound or return legs and 30%-ish battery remaining at each end after starting at 90%). But I don't know how much of that was using "range" mode, how much was greater use of cruise-control and how much was due to weather differences.
