When people ask why I would be for something akin to "Medicare for all" when I've never not had insurance, it comes down to WHY I've never not had insurance. Having expensive medical conditions since childhood, inclusion of adequate insurance was a key factor in EVERY job offer I took. It HAD to be. I couldn't take a job simply because it was interesting or non-minetarily rewarding. I HAD to o have medical coverage. Then, once I married, it became even more critical.
