  Things really aren't so bad, all things considered. The time machine IS safe and sound. In fact it's gone to my last known location from this time period, according to its inner temporal records—which means I'm bound to wind up there eventually.   Speaking of time travel shenanigans, a benefit of being a "legal" chrononaut is that you learn how to waste time with maximum effectiveness. Take Inigo. He has business he came here for. It hasn't happened yet, but he's keeping an eye out. Meanwhile he can indulge his appetite for storytelling.
