Things really aren't so bad, all things considered. The time machine IS safe and sound. In fact it's gone to my last known location from this time period, according to its inner temporal records—which means I'm bound to wind up there eventually. The question is: how do I make myself wind up there? It's not HERE, or I'd have found it already. Starting a courier service with Sully seemed an ideal way to cover as much "ground" as possible while acquiring enough funds for a lengthier journey if needed. The problem is that it's a crowded market. You need to distinguish yourself somehow. The customs official at this port seems to believe I've "distinguished" myself by shipping contraband.
