  Apple keeps releasing new and more expensive hardware that folks want us to support but we can't even afford to buy the new stuff ourselves to test it on. I mean.. my iPad is an M1.   I feel like one of the most difficult programming things is deciding where a given "policy" should be enforced because putting a policy at the wrong layer can have ridiculously far-reaching consequences. Sometimes that's useful and good, but other times it causes bugs to ripple up through a system without even noticing. It's kind of weird. Also strangely subjective.

  The fact that TestFlight for macOS sometimes holds a new build for review way beyond the iOS build - sometimes for days - is a weekly source of pain. And they don't have a way to just submit it for "review" before it actually goes public, either, so you can't stage it and wait. Entirely at their mercy. (Also this entire review step shouldn't even be a thing in the first place for TestFlight. As I and millions of others have complained about for years.)

  I have never been to an Ikea. The nearest actual store is about 145 miles away but we found some nice shelves at Ikea online and discovered they have a closer shipping depot so you can pick stuff up for free, but even that's ~80 miles away. But it'd also save about $200. Except the shelves are too big to fit in our car which means borrowing or roadtripping with someone who has a van, maybe. This feels like too much work to spend a bunch of money. Anyone have any discount codes...

  Funny how often I see complaints about big tech not supporting open source, but then when big tech does swoop in to support it there's also complaints about them "taking over" or whatever. Sometimes it's all so exhausting. The phrase, "stop punishing the behavior you want to see" comes to mind.

  Over 10 years ago when we moved to this house we got a big John Deere lawnmower tractor thingy to cut the acre of grass we have. It was big, loud, but mostly worked. Of course after so long it had some maintenance issues like a tire that slowly loses air, a temperature gauge that didn't work anymore, and a broken spring on the chute. Used it on Sunday.   Busy day fixing(*) over 200 Linea Sketch crash reports. (* Fixed: A lot were things I couldn't personally reproduce so the fixes are largely, "Huh, yeah, I can see how that'd go wrong," and hoping for the best for next time. But sometimes ya gotta do that.) Very tired.
