As of yesterday it's been one full month since our solar panels were turned on. And as of today, we've generated a total of 2 MWh. ☀️
According to the tracker, this is equivalent to planting 106 trees. 🌳

@bigzaphod@mastodon.social Impressive. My home is a poor candidate for solar panels but I use community solar to help.

@bigzaphod@mastodon.social Do you even have the space for 106 trees?

@bigzaphod@mastodon.social Love our solar. Our electric bill went from $200/mo to about $35. We did it in 2018 and got the 1/3 of cost tax rebate, so it's already paid for itself.

@bigzaphod@mastodon.social I live in the UK (not sure that matters) and decided to check out UK charities that plant trees and make some kind of grand gesture to match yours. :) Anyway, it's *surprisingly* expensive, one example: £15 to plant a tree, £30 to plant 2 metres of hedgerow. I might just have to rethink that.
