  Every now and then I try to trip up Etsy to see if the site will actually tell me that they don't have something. Tonight I thought, what about krakens in space?I bet Etsy doesn't have anything depicting astronaut krakens or krakens in space! Wrongo! They've got Jeep spare tire covers showing a kraken grabbing an astronaut in space, there are tote bags, an amazing umbrella showing a cosmic kraken with planets, t-shirts, mugs..paintings... who knew?

  Today I learned Studio Ghibli old-school threatened Harvey Weinstein by sending him a single katana and a note that said "No cuts." Weinstein, was trying to shorten Princess Mononoke for American audiences and Toshio Suzuki was having none of that. Wow.

  Explain to me why many corporations still have desk phones that require a line, and a handset that requires one of those curly messed up always tangled handset cords that makes every want to scream?   The love bugs are out and about, and, uh, "love-bugging." They are good because the eat mosquitos, but bad because when they smash on your car's paint job, they are slightly acidic and will mess up your paint if you don't wash them off within a day.   I have got to stop doing laundry on a "Writing Day." At first, it seemed logical, do a load of laundry, write, fold clothes, do a load, write... But its causing me to dread a " writing day" with some sort of negative Pavlovian feeling. Next weekend I will not pair the two. Writing need to be nice and easy, involving tea and biscuits...my muse is so bougie.

  I woke up in the middle of the night and listened to two podcasts. One was dealing with the speed the universe as it expands and how two studies, both with evidence, got two significantly different speeds-one studying plancks and one measuring a certain kind of double star system as reference points. The idea might be the expansion was faster in the beginning and different elsewhen or where But the second podcast focused on what the speed of light actually is.

  This is how we all get fat. See here, see here: in the olden days, If i wanted groceries I had to get in my car (America, so yeah), drive to a grocery store, walk around, find stuff, pay for it, and haul it home. If I was strategic, I might have a list of needed items written down on the back of an envelope.   The first week of May is an absolute delight isn't it? We've got May Day, followed by May the Fourth Be With You, followed by Cinco De Mayo. The energies: celebration of Spring, of life, of Worker's Rights. A relaxed celebration of Jedi Lore, followed by celebrating a rebellion against colonizers that turned into a huge Good Eatin' Day. I mean the vibes are fab.

  I stayed home today as I am under the weather. I have, however, managed to accomplish the following all from my lazy boy chair: 1. Attend an hour long TEAMS meeting on market share and revue streams. 2. Purchased and planned for the delivery of a new washing machine ( finally). 3. Ordered potting soil and planters for curbside delivery so I can plan my robot garden. Now I need a nap, followed by some writing time.... but I will need to go to the study for that.

  Copilot has this little function now where it reads through your emails and tries to determine what your top priorities for the day should be. 😐 I know exactly what my priority should be because i'm using my brain--you know--wetware. 🤔 This feels like when your mother tries to tell you, you need to make your bed when you've already made your bed and you're also 50 years old.

  A friend in Budapest sent my sister a video of a huge crowd singing " We are the Champions" tonight. That was the biggest happiest crowd. I haven't seen that many Happy People in a long, long, time. Wow, did that display of joy feel good to see.
