  Venting The entitlement of some drivers... This BMW is parked in the hash marks between handicap parking spaces (and no they do not have a disability parking pass) I see things like this frequently and it drives me up a wall.   'Radical' idea to bring down housing costs in Canada... permanently freeze land values across the nation. Land is one of the largest components of building housing, freezing it's value would over time lower that cost.   Ditching daylight savings time is a great idea... but making it permanent is not. DST should simply be ended with standard time becoming the new year round normal.   @NMBA@mstdn.ca The international standard should be that once one treaty is broken the aggrieved party has the automatic right to withdraw from any or all others unless the treaty in question relates to human rights (because no one should be able to suspend human rights) or directly addresses behaviour during hostilities (and even then only the sections addressing behaviour during hostilities should be in effect)

  A reminder to my fellow Canadians; you can send letters to any Member of Parliament or Member of the Senate (along with other positions) postage free. Written letters can be advantageous over e-mails as they require more physical processing whereas email can be processed digitally without any human ever seeing / reading it.   Last week we bought ourselves an #EV... today I sold our last fossil fuel burning vehicle and for the first time in 30 years I don't own a single internal combustion engine in anything (my yard tools where converted to electric options a few years ago). Now I'm going to need to clean out the toolbox and sell off some of the engine tools I no longer need... yay more work ;)

If this was a commercial instance I would have jumped shipped without hesitation; I don't believe in loyalty to companies However this is a volunteer run and hosted instance and as such I do feel a sense of loyalty because I greatly appreciate what @chad does. The legal issues that constitute a potential threat to the instance are before the courts and so far we only have one parties...
