RE: https://union.place/@ufwupdates/116835878261092115 This just shows how much workers are getting ripped off for the labour A quick search shows that Rainier cherries are $6.97/lb at Walmart in Washington State; the workers are only getting paid $0.40... which means if you were to buy cherries in the store only 5.7% of the price you pay goes to the worker. Even if you consider waste, the worker is still being ripped off.... and never forget that without these workers there wouldn't be any cherries. Every other party in the supply chain is dependant on their labour but they get peanuts for it.
