  Game pitch: I model real world oil and gas infrastructure to an uncanny level of detail.   Question for selfhosted #forgejo users (and only forgejo users, please): Have you experienced download speeds for the .zip and or during git clone that are order of magnitude slower than upload speed despite decent hardware and connected via ethernet cable to the network? Current upload speed on the server side: 4mbps (😂) forgejo user download speed: 64kbps. What am I doing wrong? I was expecting a loss of speed but not time traveling to 1995.

  Most frustrating part of heatwave deaths is how preventable it was, by keeping the oil in the ground or breaking up the urban heat island with trees over the 23 years we've had to prepare. And lastly, the government could have given a blanket permission to add ropes in-between buildings to create shade in the streets using old upcycled sails, instead of fining people for diving in public fountains. Every one of these deaths was preventable and can be blamed on the oil industry.

  What was the name of that tool that lets you sculpt on a 3D model but the sculpt is all happening in a displacement channel that gets baked to the normal map in realtime? Krita, Blender, and Zbrush don't really do that. I'm not talking about just painting the normals, but the ability to actually sculpt, which requires the displacement to normals baking in realtime, or some compositing trick. #3d #gameart #gameartist
