This is hardly different than what private equity does.. but our boy Peter is on record saying building things from scratch cost a lot of money and you may have to get rid of natives that you don’t like, but if you expropriate existing societies, that’s a lot cheaper. The only problem is it seems like every time libertarians even though I know Peter is not a libertarian move in and try to run things the way they think things should happen. It ends in disaster..

With all due respect, because you are one of the most important critics of the Network State, why are you not investing more energy here instead of helping them build another tech bro VC 'parallel strategy' platform, when you know better than anyone where that leads? You even wrote a book about it. Seriously, we could really use your influence to help us build defensible public social media right here.

@gilduran@journa.host I think you are correct. Their overall success most likely will be muted, but that is pretty much attempt. It feels similar to putins plan to push russia into theocracy. It is not gonna work. But in both cases damage will be huge.
