This post is in response to today's Access On podcast from @AccessOn which I boosted a few hours ago. Happy fiftieth birthday, Apple Computer Company! As part of helping @JonathanMosen produce this podcast, I did something which I should have done years ago, namely, creating an updated version of my MessApple package from 2013. This hasn't been tested by many people, but I'm publicly unveiling it here tonight. If you're familiar with my MessApple package, you'll notice some changes as detailed in the included Readme document. This package allows you to emulate an Apple IIe computer with an Echo speech synthesizer in order to run talking Apple II games and other programs. They'll sound almost the same as they did on the actual hardware. Here's the link: https://bluegrasspals.com/mameapple.zip Currently this only runs on modern versions of Windows. This is also a reminder that if this podcast has made you interested in learning more about the accessible Apple II era, feel free to join my BlindApple discussion mailing list. Visit https://groups.io/g/blindapple or send a blank message to blindapple+subscribe@groups.io. Enjoy!

@jaybird110127@dragonscave.space I'm curious about why you chose to emulate an Echo II by default this time, and have a special script for BEX, rather than emulating an Echo II Plus by default. Are there other disks that don't work with the emulated Echo II Plus?
