@aral Well, that Iran-Israel "peace deal" supposedly brokered by the USA lasted longer than I expected it would, anyway. Last year when the Toddler-in-Chief in the White House was still embarrassingly obsessed with landing himself a shiny Nobel Peace Prize to play with, he declared a "complete and total ceasefire" that would ensure the two nations would never exchange fire again. I gave that accord weeks not months (it was broken within hours...but then seemed to stabilise). Now here we are.

@aral Hospitals in Gaza have turned into tents and caravans. Sadly, they lack proper medical care and doctors, as many have been killed by Israel. Our sick and wounded are left without help, and the suffering grows every day. 💔

@aral But they bombed a school, too, so the news is talking all about that instead of the hospitals. While Israel was doing it in Gaza people kept saying oh but WE told them not to do that, it's not our fault, we're just giving them money and trying really hard to persuade them to be nice, oh well I mean WHAT STOP COMPLAINING DO YOU WANT TRUMP TO WIN etc. They let us get used to that for a while, and now.... ....Geneva conventions, rules of engagement, international law, rules-based international order, all of it so much tissue paper and noise.

@aral Well, extrapolating from an Israeli Minister's comments last year, its a war crime if an Israeli hospital is hit (that's what he said), not if a Lebanese, Gazan or Iranian hospital is hit.

@aral They’re even doing the same thing: They bombed a hospital straight out of the gate, and when press reported on it, they called those people ”antisemitic” or ”regime bombed their own people”. And as a result, the next time they bombed a hospital, the press was quiet. Now they bombed a second school. And they’re going go keep bombing them until nobody bats an eye. It’s proven strategy in their view.

@aral The suffering of civilians and the destruction of hospitals is horrific, no matter who does it. Hospitals and medical staff are supposed to be protected under international law. We should be demanding accountability and protection for civilians everywhere

@aral not to mention the millions of deaths that will result from the elimination of US AID lifesaving programs. I am absolutely horrified, not just by the act, but by the fact that life is just operating normally. These are WAR CRIMES. The US and Israel should be SANCTIONED HEAVILY by the rest of the world and the citizens should be protesting in the street!

@aral Check whether the Iranian hospitals have been directly bombed or just moderately damaged by a nearby strike. The Ghandi hospital in Tehran was damaged by a nearby strike.
