TalkBack takes *ten seconds* to activate on the Google TV streamer. Imagine if it took ten seconds to bring up the screen when you hit the power button. You couldn't sell that product because no one would buy it.

@prism@infosec.exchange @technocounselor@caneandable.social you think that is bad, try typing on the onscreen keyboard! talkback takes so long to go between letters, it isn't even remotely phoney! I did a podcvast on the google tv streamer, and that part didn't impress me at all. if talkback was that slow on a phone, I can't think of anyone that would get an android. I know it is talkback that is slow, as you can hear when you switch to another letter, and how long it takes talkback to to respond.

@prism@infosec.exchange Is this the product you buy from the Google Store? Was thinking of this as a replacement for the two Apple TVs we have in the house, but I don't want to touch it if it's that bad. How's the lag once TalkBack is running?
