@prism@infosec.exchange Is this the product you buy from the Google Store? Was thinking of this as a replacement for the two Apple TVs we have in the house, but I don't want to touch it if it's that bad. How's the lag once TalkBack is running?

@NoahCarver@caneandable.social It is yes. Once it is on it is... okay, it's not great but it's acceptable. It is better if you turn off any image postprocessing on your TV. The thing that's driving me nuts is that TalkBack re-binds the cursor keys so that instead of being dpad up/down/left/right, they are TalkBack's previous/next item functions. Believe it or not, some apps are not designed for this, and don't work (twitch is the best example, but there are others) Also a lot of the TV apps turn TalkBack off once the show starts, and the ones that don't, you wish it did. So IDK. Bit of a mixed bag, TBH. Thinking of trying a Roku or firestick. It's pretty bad that I am considering Amazon as a viable alternative. If you are happy with AppleTV I would say stick with that.
