@Gte@mastodon.social Every missed shot, I kept waiting for the replay to show how the ball was deflected by a defender or something. But nope, they just plain missed. So many chances squandered. (I think this is may be the third soccer game I’ve ever watched. Put me in the booth.) (Do they have booths?)

@siracusa@mastodon.social You in the booth would be a real joy. And, you’re right—they squandered so many chances. They’re a famously technically talented team but that’s behind them at this point. I got the feeling they showed up expecting to beat Norway (a second tier team typically) and sulked about their own missteps rather than regrouping and getting their shit (and shots!) together. England v. Mexico up next. That’ll be a banger. And, welcome to soccer. It can be deeply infuriating but just as fun.
