@onelesstweeter@mstdn.ca @siracusa@mastodon.social Offside is a nightmare. Before the technology it was, like most things in soccer, pretty squishy. If the dude was advanced between the defenders and the goalie by the time the ball was kicked it was off-side. And it be called based on feel. With the crazy tech we’re worrying about tiny infractions and it has (for me) taken some of the fun out of a very dynamic and human scale game. (Others disagree!)
