A question for our American friends. Do you actually FEEL like celebrating July 4th this year, 250th or not?

@TresFluke@beige.party I live two miles' walk to an excellent viewing area along the Potomac River to watch the DC fireworks. It would be the easiest thing for me to casually stroll over after sunset. I absolutely will not do it.

@TresFluke@beige.party It's complicated. Fifty years ago, I was a teen, and my mother worked a double shift because of holiday pay. This year feels a lot like that.
