Nobody wants to travel to the US anyway ATM, so a visa requirement shouldn't be a big problem. @EUCommission@ec.social-network.europa.eu Can you please subject US citizens to a reciprocal visa requirement when travelling to Germany? @greenfrogg@mas.to

@greenfrogg@mas.to Removing visa-free travel to the US isn't the threat he thinks it is. They're already denying people entry based on social media posts, this just means you get denied before you actually book travel instead of after you arrive. US-based professional conferences have been struggling to get speakers to attend, and that's before you start requiring them to jump through hoops. The US is toxic and nobody should be going there unless they really need to anyway.

Police databases are a treasure trove of data, because police are exempt from many privacy regulations, one reason access to them is tightly regulated. Trump threatens to withdraw visa-free entry to the USA, if his demands aren't met. Another attempted end-around by the tech lords against EU data privacy rules. Fuck 'em.
