I think it's age, but somewhere in there is a tool that puts qr codes in the terminal. Looking up just now I found `qrencode` that'll generate png or even ascii, which I tried, and other printable output that I didn't. Some of those other ways might match what passage did that was way neater.

Last but not least, the QR Code may be more simple (hence easier to scan) by simply encoding with upper case (f.i. HTTPS://CSSSCRIPT.COM instead of https://cssscript.com) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/QR_code#Information_capacity https://www.cssscript.com/demo/flexible-client-side-qr-code-generator/

@concretedog@mastodon.social @libreoffice@fosstodon.org If you are using @kde@floss.social you can generate QR code for any item in your clipboard very easily, see example here https://www.howtogeek.com/kde-plasma-kicks-windows-11s-butt-with-this-one-feature/ I personally use it for generating Code128 barcodes, but QR codes are possible, too.
