@Wuzzy@cyberplace.social I wondered the same about Bluesky. When it was new, it didn't have network effects so nobody "had to" be there. Nobody had a reason to join. But many people did it and now there are complaints "but i cannot leave, I have connections there" when Bluesky also started Nazi bar pipeline, platforming hate speach and banning Black and queer voices. Like how the hell people still didn't learn only way to win is not to play... That time they COULD avoid this toxic cycle.
