  #Codeberg has practically banned projects that are (mostly) vibe-coded. The rationale is that heavily #LLM-driven projects tend to drain resources to create projects that practically nobody cares about (as opposed to established human-driven community projects), so it would be a waste on Codeberg’s resources as well.   @youen Ugggh, this is a hard question. For this we would need to know the EXACT licensing terms of Steamworks for a clear answer. But your quotes already indicate an incompatibility/hostility towards the GPL, which is NOT a good sign. Tbh if it were my game, I would just stay clear off Steamworks altogether. Much simpler.

  @youen This really depends on the platform policies, I guess. So … read them? If the platform policies forbid it, the worst that can happen is a ban. I don’t think there is any law tho that forbids you to call your free software "free software". That would be quite ridiculous. But IANAL.

  @youen I think it’s morally bad. But that may be irrelevant anyway because I don’t think Steam provides much value to free software games to begin with. Free software games have it REALLY rough there. You’re competing against an ocean of proprietary games, on a proprietary platform that is hostile to free software. I find it really hard to stumble upon any free software game on Steam randomly. I am willing to be proven wrong tho.

  My suggestion for today's #DigitalIndependenceDay is … #Luanti! 😃 It's a 100% #FreeSoftware multiplayer+singleplayer game engine for voxel-based games (like #Minecraft) It has a growing community and a growing list of games and mods.
