If Joesph Robinette Biden gave even one shit about stopping fascism, he would have—on day one of his presidency—looked like a n entire socialist. He would have enacted government programs that clearly communicated a desire to help citizens thrive. He would have shown, so clearly, what it looks and feels like to have a government want to keep all of its citizens alive that no one would look at “the way things were” as acceptable.

People will tell me he tried. People will tell me republicans stopped him. People will tell me that he didn’t have enough public support of initiatives like that for those to be effective. If that last one is really true then America is simply doomed. Really. If it is really true that programs couldn’t survive once they were realized because of racism or pettiness or whatever then what’s the point? What are we even discussing? A rotten populous. So I won’t really go much further with that line.

@griotspeak@soc.mod-12.com He could have prioritized holding 45 accountable for an attempted insurrection instead of upholding the lie of "decorum". He knew it was a lie but did it anyway. I can only speculate, but at some point, the opposition became so ineffective, they almost have to be complicit.
