I found some non-hyperscaler disks! 26x18TB will become our next RustFS (minio replacement) S3 tanks (2x12x18TB per node). Wish me luck!

  • @IPngNetworks@ublog.tech running #seeweedfs https://github.com/seaweedfs/seaweedfs as replacement for minio on #freebsd … works quite well

Beware, RustFS is buggy slop that does not understand the basics of distributed storage or even not hardcoding root credentials. https://github.com/rustfs/rustfs/security @IPngNetworks@ublog.tech

  • @IPngNetworks@ublog.tech umm did minio folks do a rugpull on the community? I see they archived minio repo but they launched AIStor (free and enterprise licenses) just like how drug dealers give high quality drugs to hook people in but then own their addiction and give shitty quality for same price 😶‍🌫️ I didn’t know about this before but this seemed like the case.
