I have given myself a night off and ordered from the fish and chips place. However all the images of their food on the delivery thing are now generative slop that look nothing like what's going to show up. Is everyone just ignoring this? I'm used to accepting that pictures of food were usually dressed up and "best case scenario" but god damn this is just wildly wrong. Show me one Australian who is ordering a Chiko Roll and expecting this:

I only order from places I have some clue what their actual food looks like. I already know what the generic item looks like. I want to see -their- version. Worst is burger & pizza places that use stock images. Can tell so much from looking at their food if it’s what you want or not. Stock may as well be no image at all.

@mike@social.chinwag.org Did they miss the memo about the uglier a Chiko Roll is, the better it is? It should be wrinkly, deep fried to all fuck, and sporting enough oily carbuncles that you wonder if it was cooked-up by David Cronenberg. But, no, this looks like it's had Botox and a glow-up.
