@lisamelton@mastodon.social Bigots often operate under the assumption that everyone else secretly thinks the same way they do but are just too scared to say it out loud. They cling to the idea that their views are in the majority. Dispel them of that delusion whenever you possibly can.

@lisamelton@mastodon.social tho I've toned it down A LOT over the years, at my core I'm an ultra abrasive person and one of the few times/places I let it REALLY come out these days is when I realize that some kind of transphobe, homophobe, bigot or fascist (but I repeat myself) has somehow infiltrated a space I'm in. It's quite nice to let all the masks slip and just be super unpleasant to someone who absolutely deserves it. Kind of wish I could figure out a way to offer it as a service and monetize it...

'Lecture', 'Educate', Do what you think will to create a Good Person from a mass of (I don't know)-if you fail, allow their presence because They have as Much of a Right in This Country to Exist as You Do.. In No Way can you declare they are Less than You. To Do So--is to Sink to Their Level of Narrowmindedness.

@lisamelton@mastodon.social Makes me think of the idea: If the transphobes can bust into the shelter and do bad things... its not a shelter. Its a place where they can corner trans folks. And that's what some of these people and organizations are like when they say they're 'allies'.
