Bigots often operate under the assumption that everyone else secretly thinks the same way they do but are just too scared to say it out loud. They cling to the idea that their views are in the majority.
Dispel them of that delusion whenever you possibly can.

@jargoggles@kolektiva.social @lisamelton@mastodon.social Meanwhile, I operate under the assumption that most people would (probably) agree with my unquestionably radical progressivism if they really thought about it, but most people don’t seem to want to think really hard about anything, either because thinking requires effort and a total re-examination of your pre-existing beliefs, or out of fear for the unthinkable conclusions they might reach.
