@woollypigs@sudomakecake.com I bet he went straight home, cutting short the meeting, and stayed up very late assembling it.

@woollypigs@sudomakecake.com That is absolutely brilliant, and of course the perfect gift from DK! You’re never too old to enjoy Lego! I wonder if this was a cleverly thought of one-off, or if DK does something appropriately similar on all similar occasions? (It certainly should! ☺️) And the Grand Egyptian Museum looks fantastic, too!

@woollypigs@sudomakecake.com Brilliant! Such a nice change from the culturally worthy but dull formal gifts. I'm not sure that the ministers children will get to play with this...

@woollypigs@sudomakecake.com I saw that set at a toy store the other day and really like the attention to detail of making them as they were 5000 years ago rather than today (the Nile used to flow past them but has since changed its course)

@woollypigs@sudomakecake.com Like an Egyptian would be able to build that! He'd have to call the aliens in, again.

@woollypigs@sudomakecake.com Wars will now be fought with leaders competing in Lego speed builds broadcast live. Sadly, just like regular war, everyone loses interest, but at least no one dies.

@woollypigs@sudomakecake.com When Lego are making sets of your national monuments, you're at the top of the world. :)

@woollypigs@sudomakecake.com The Egyptians were amazing engineers. Egyptologists are still debating how they could manufacture interlocking plastic bricks using only ancient technology 😎

@woollypigs@sudomakecake.com The Danes are known for doing that. Giving cool state gifts. Bodum is a Danish company, and they gave Obama a fully customized Bodum coffee set, with the Presidential seal etched into it. It was really cool. They haven't given Trump anything, and probably won't after the Greenland thing.

@woollypigs@sudomakecake.com You know how the next few weeks of meetings are going to go for Badr: "Ah, yes those reports; bring them over here and pull up a chair...." "...absolutely, Ambassador, I think we can help with that - do you have any more palm fronds over there?"
