@tompearce49@mastodon.scot Itβs marvelous. Was there a few years back. Walked in and immediately forgot the name of any book Iβd ever wanted. Walked out with a book on 20th Century Scottish art.

@tompearce49@mastodon.scot these places are real life wizard towers. Just be careful not to be buried under an avalanche of books - this has definitely happened

@tompearce49@mastodon.scot A dream. Don't think I can ever get to Inverness ... that would be my place to spend hours.

@tompearce49@mastodon.scot Beautiful bookshop. However, it looks dangerous to have such a chimney in a bookshop. The person there seems to use a jacket indoors, so I assume it must be cold.

@tompearce49@mastodon.scot oh yeah more bookstores to replace churches! Only the wood stove is frightening me.

@tompearce49@mastodon.scot and interesting claim. A bookshop in Wigtown claims the same.... The Bookshop, Wigtown The Bookshop is the largest second-hand bookshop in Scotland, with over a mile of shelving supporting roughly 100,000 books.

@tompearce49@mastodon.scot worried about the "could've been books" burning stove in the foreground, but otherwise that looks awesome The door looks like a portal to another dimension, which I suppose it is when used to enter this room
