Regarding the listing, $675/month for a freaking POD with zero privacy or security is obscene. Also, this passage is *chef's kiss* "The lease begins with a 2 month trial period. If you're a good fit for the community, your lease will be extended month to month." Translation: we can throw you out with essentially zero notice. This is NOT something set up to help anyone, it's a $10k+/month money grab that is likely one phone call away from being shut down for not following build and fire code requirements...

@weirdestate@eigenmagic.net Sleeping pod? Yeah, ok. Sleeping pod attached to a load of other sleeping pods and in a giant open plan workspace so there's literally never a single moment's peace or privacy and you can't even retreat to a bubblebath because there are only showers? Less ok.

@weirdestate@eigenmagic.net as the sleeping accomodations in the home shared by a bash' (extended chosen family as per Ada Palmer's Terra Ignota) the idea looks potentially cool. the point being *family* and *chosen* (and the implied long term relationship between members). as a way to pass off probably-illegal (and if it isn't illegal it should be so) overcrowded accommodations with a complete lack of privacy designed for desperate renters as something cool, it's creepy and worse
