  As promised, my newly arrived #postcard. It's #cheese. Cheese, Gromit!   Went on holiday for one week, so naturally it's taken one week after that to recover physically and then another week to recover mentally. Standard.   Three weeks since our last #parkrun (and my last run of any kind), we headed back to Albert Park in #Middlesbrough, which was our first ever course and also where we both have our PBs. No way was that kind of time happening today though, it's sunny and humid and I could barely make it a quarter mile at a time before stopping for a walk! Still. Survived.   The only positive thing I can say about dragging myself to #parkrun this morning is that at least it was 9 degrees cooler than it is now 🥵 Oh and also that the vibes at #Redcar were immaculate, but tbh they always are. #Running in the heat is really not for me! Unfortunately we've signed up to a 10k in August though so I better get used to it fast 🙈 Respect to everyone who managed it this morning.

  Since we're travelling Down South today, we figured it was a good chance to try a new #parkrun venue on the way. Lucky for us Pontefract parkrun was right near the motorway, plus a new letter for us and of course our first step towards the Full Ponty challenge! It mostly follows the loop of the racecourse but starts and ends around a lake which, today at least, featured adorable baby geese. And then to top it all off, there was an ice cream truck at the finish line! #Running #Ponte...

  Last week, @theresmiling was a terrible influence on me (a total stranger) by daring to mention a fun app that has you upload photos of post-related things onto a map.   Stewart #parkrun this week for pacer week, although we both lost our pacers in the madness of the starting crush so that turned out to be pretty irrelevant! I've said this before, but it's a great park. All kinds of weird nooks and crannies and something new to see round every corner. Unfortunately one of those things is quite a long hill, which makes this a much slower event than some of our other locals. Still, I think this will turn out to be my new best time at Stewart, so...

  My main WIP today is getting doggo to settle and feel at home, but I did manage about 3 inches or so of crochet over the long weekend in between prepping for her arrival.
