@weirdestate The stairs look way, way worse than they are, assuming they're like the ones I have used before. The steps are surprisingly short and it's actually fine, as long as you're not carrying anything too heavy and use the railing. The problem is going down them my brain has a little panic reaction. But give me this over most witch step stairs any day.

@weirdestate these stairs are pretty normal for the Netherlands, if you remove the robust handrails, and then also curve them a bit so they take up less space. The Dutch word for stairs is “trap”.

@weirdestate Pretty cool in lots of ways, although I can't help but think it's probably a nightmare (or at least very expensive) to maintain. Wonder if that round window has some kind of blind? The stairs are ... uh... sub optimal. I think they go up to the terrace? How the heck do people carry things up there?

@weirdestate i slept in a flat that had stairs like those once to get to the top floor bedroom and they weren’t actually too bad once you got over your initial wtf reaction (initial reaction in this case was worsened by having failed to sleep on an overnight flight and so being VERY discombobulated) not sure i’d want to have them on my main bedroom just bc hauling a laundry basket up and down them every week seems like a bit of a pain, but for a guest bedroom or a study or something i dont think its too terrible
