  Today's one of our quarterly "refresh days" (bonus leave days), probably my career-favourite work perk.   Some poor pooch in the building next to us is properly losing its shit. This is not just a lonely dog having a bit of a howl, it's at defcon one. It's really distressing and concerning. (from building chats, both RSPCA and Police have been contacted to conduct a welfare check)

  Neighbour's dog is barking again. Apparently we have an Anxious Whippet Situation*. Haven't heard the dog before so I suspect either the people are new to the building, or the dog is new to the people. Hopefully means pooch will calm down as they get used to their new surroundings, but they are driving people a bit spare in the meantime. (* yeah i know, bit tautological)

  We wanted a power point put in, so we booked a sparky who put a power point in. No begging from a landlord via an agent and waiting for weeks. Not that we would have even bothered asking as renters, because there's no fucking way they'd do something optional just because it makes the place better to live in. I have never been so excited about a power point.
