It doesn't seem to matter who specifically holds the position, there is nobody in Australia less connected with reality than the RBA Governor. Businesses won't pass on costs, they say. Nobody who actually checks the price on things would ever say that with a straight face. Mortgage-free retired boomers enjoying a boost in interest on their cash savings won't spend more they say..... I mean give me fucking strength. That is a desperately idiotic statement from someone paid to be smart.
