@gknauss@mastodon.social bought my first microwave some 25 years ago. A Sanyo one. One of great things it did was to keep rotating the plate AFTER finishing so it would stop at the initial position. I don't understand WHY can't the new ones do the same. *Edited: for some reason autocorrect decided Santo was a microwave brand. No, it was a Sanyo.

@gknauss@mastodon.social I’m in the habit of using multiples of 10 seconds because that’s one rotation on my current microwave and the one before it. If I ever get one that goes at 23 seconds/rotation, I will immediately return it.

@gknauss@mastodon.social It took a while to figure out that my microwave takes 12 seconds per rotation but the time to enter is 12 x # of rotations plus 1. As soon as I hit start one second comes off the timer before anything happens. 🤬
