@Cdespinosa The desire for superiority is often a consequence of the own inferiority. Women are put off by the Chads’ lack of social skills, which causes the Chads doubling down on toxic patriarchal clichés. Team AI/TechBro consists mainly of college dropouts feeling inferior to graduates and academics and are dreaming teaching them a lesson. And as for team White Supremacy: they're the marginalised, who the ruling class pits against other minorities lest they solidarise and rise up.

@Cdespinosa last month my sci-fi book club read "War with the Newts" and thinking about it really brought home to me how many of these stories are about trying to recreate slaves on the sly. @Cdespinosa Reminds me of the "NEO Humanoid". As if putting a human slave in a full-body-suit so owners don't have to look at them or treat them as human. "But it's just a robot." For which the company has admitted that they haven't the software for autonomous behavior (yet). So there is a person on the other end, manually controlling that robot. You can get one of these robots for $500 per month. Seems rather obvious how much that person will be paid and how their work will be valued.
