Dear Mr. Carney:
If you truly believed that the price of gas would fall due to you reducing the taxes on energy corporations, then your much-vaunted financial acumen has been wildly oversold.
The fossil fuel groups have not been a free market for as long as I've been alive: they have been an oligarchy working in lockstep with one another to maximize their profits while harming the planet and everyone else out there. They will not allow one cent to slip through their greasy fingers; they will wring the necks of the consumer, and here you just keep going on fucking that chicken.
And gods damn everyone who fell for your 'the price of gas will go down' bullshit. Either you believed it or you sold Canada a lie, and either way, that doesn't make you a fit PM.

@theogrin Carney’s track record to me seems like a lot of: I can thread the needle and reach a consensus compromise with the people in the room. But a PM needs to have an independent direction for Canada and have a firm hand on steering to the goal no matter how many lobbyists they pack into the room.
