@mu @stephen Belgium passed indoor air quality laws in 2022 (in response to Covid-19), and might be a reasonable place to start looking. Looks like there’s a 2026 update that requires displaying measured air quality levels in public spaces. @mu Suggest anything related to SARS around 2002. I'm asthmatic and had to go to the hospital around that time with it. It was still in a time when gov't took airborne illness seriously. The hospital had recently upgraded several isolation spaces with air cleaners and such. They stuck me in one not because I had it but to protect me because both would finish me.

@mu so infuriating that a government body is updating a standard and is “doing a bit” (🙄) but will “take a look” at things that citizens take the effort to literally shove under their noses how about “do your fucking job, you absolutely incompetent, lazy arses” 😠😡🤬 (yes, I would also do their job for them if I thought it was the only way that they’re likely to incorporate anything relevant to reducing the next pandemic, but still 😤)

@mu New Zealand research showing that Covid transmission was airborne in the Pullman Hotel managed isolation facility in Auckland was pivotal in the scientific acceptance of the fact, IIRC. See the citations in this paper: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC9764876/

@mu (especially slides 16-17) and references therein look relevant (although there seems to be some confusion about the dimensions/units of the "Q" and "q" quantities in the presentation, and that confusion may or may not be fully cleared up by going back to the cited source documents).

Kia ora @mu, are you able to tell me what govt department/agency is undertaking this work and whether they have a specific deadline? It could be interesting for the researchers at PHCC to provide some input. I'd at least like to alert them to this. The Green Building Council is another org that does good work in that area.
