Four things: 1. It's obvious that too many people associate "Covid" with death and just presumed that the drop in the death count meant the danger of Covid was over. 2. Really something to say “outside the pandemic era” as we’re inside an era that has multiple infectious diseases swirling around multiple countries including (and possibly as a result of) the pandemic virus that kicked off this decade. There has also been a sustained drop in Covid infections within Canada with the decline in travel to the States, but minimizers ain’t gonna touch that achievement because it mucks up their narrative that Covid and its pandemic are long in the rear view.
