The age verification bills and anti-3D printer bills keep feeling to me like they're the same actions to me. They both have the same tactic of protection as a smokescreen for more control and surveillance. Both are making parallel runs in several states and the federal government concurrently.

@matt5sean3@urusai.social part of me wonders whether the thousands and thousands of 3D printed whistles that were distributed during the occupation of Minnesota has anything to do with this, as well. the "ghost gun" justification is a smokescreen, sure, but it's possible that the goal is still reducing the number of options the people have for community self-defense
