@jsit Yeah, each time someone says something like "I am 3x more productive using AI" it's like "yeah, are you earning 3 times more, or having 3 times more spare time"?

@jsit Let me tell you that in Germany it were unions which made 35/40 working hours per week and 25-30 days paid leave per year the default. Companies just spend savings on creating more output. Sadly the unions here lost their bite and are mostly doing fallback fights, softening hurting changes, but don't rejecting them at all.

@jsit no union im the World could have expanded leisure without productivity growth. People don't want to consume 20% less even if it means to work 20% less. Distributing productivity gains among workers via better wages and more leisure: people are for that, but somehow they don't join unions.

@jsit Capitalism absolutely uses productivity to pay for leisure; it just restricts leisure, and anything else good, to the capitalist class. Capitalists would let their workers starve to death if they thought they could get away with it.
