I'm trying to come to terms with the idea that the "Zuckerberg is building an LLM of himself to interact with his employees" headline I've been ignoring for the past day or so because it's starting to feel like The Onion is trying too hard is actually a real news report.

@bodil@social.treehouse.systems Tom Lehrer had his first attack of this in the late 60s and died only quite recently.

@bodil@social.treehouse.systems replacing billionaires with llms is a development that I could be persuaded is a good thing

@bodil@social.treehouse.systems it's too much. At some point the meta meta gobshite needs to approach an isozucker... 🤔 NOPE, nevermind... the world makes no sense anymore

@bodil@social.treehouse.systems Didn't you hear? The Onion stopped being satire in January of '25. It's just straight news now.

@bodil@social.treehouse.systems yeah, but if there's anyone who can be replaced by what we currently call AI, it's that guy

@bodil@social.treehouse.systems not sure if this will be an Onion headline or strait news but "AI Zuckerberg praised as the most lifelike Zuckerberg yet"

@bodil@social.treehouse.systems No one is irreplaceable, but the message I’m getting is that billionaires are replaceable with LLMs.

@bodil@social.treehouse.systems it doesn't exactly speak to Zuckerberg's utility as a supposedly hard-working CEO when he could probably be replaced by an inanimate cardboard sign, much less an LLM-powered simulacrum

@bodil@social.treehouse.systems but what if they accidentally prove that CEOs are replaceable with AI??

@bodil@social.treehouse.systems Well they won’t need much RAM for his face expression so at least that’s working for us
