When AppleCare one came out it was a bit rocky to switch to it but I got it done. I’m an idiot so I tried upgrading to AppleCare family today. It failed a couple of times just with timeouts but then it went through and was remarkably smooth. It will actually save us a good chunk particularly with leased phones soon

Periodic reminder that when you’re setting up a new iPhone and it’s downloading all of the apps, you can tap and hold on specific apps and “Prioritize download” to put them at the top of the list.

Opus 5.5 seems like an extremely good model, but it absolutely torches tokens

The battery life difference between my dying Series 7 Apple Watch and the Ultra 4 I just got is pretty insane.

RE: https://hachyderm.io/@lexfri/117430136651284179 Fair but to me, yes. I stopped paying for anything from the Ellison properties. Maybe a bit extreme but choosing to not give companies like that (and X) my money is the only small thing I have control over.

It is DARK. It is COLD. It is RAINING. I am TIRED. I had a bad day at work yesterday which I responded to by having a bit of a LATE NIGHT. I had to go to LONDON TOWN today, which is the loudest and most terrifying place on this or any other PLANET. I cannot convey to you the depths of which I do not wish to go running. I haven't been in weeks because I've been ill. I don't think I even remember how to run. Is that the one with the arms? Trish is basically making me go. Urgh. Stupid...

So, is Brazil's far right running another #Bolsonaro in the next election? #Brazil #Brasil #polls

Oh, hey, if for some reason you have a need to inspect a cert bundle of PEM files, I have a useful little tool for you. Kind of the love child of split(1), tee(1), and xargs(1): https://github.com/jschauma/xpipe This makes getting a cert bundles issuers out of pemblocks a single command: <cert.pem xpipe -p '^-----END CERTIFICATE-----$' \ openssl x509 -noout -issuer

So, uhm, sounds like #node2shell CVE-2026-111497 is not restricted to nodejs alone, but any Google Brotli consumer. I don't think that's been called out widely. Check your other integrations. https://github.com/advisories/GHSA-9v8h-qqgm-4m35
