Lol. Yep. Equal rights are equal rights - this makes women as punchable as men. Which doesn’t say much because we kinda shouldn’t punch people without reason anyway.

@chosunone@pleroma.chosunone.io @nyx@social.xenofem.me on a local scale this is correct. on a global scale however, when we are considering how big the stocks of these weapons are and how fast they can be produced the costs are very relevant

Please don't scroll past. This is important. I am being pressured by FreeBSD's reddit moderation team to censor the Omarchy #content_review or to remove it completely. They have began a harrasment campaign with the goal of removing me from this world. the review: https://merveilles.town/@prahou/117501303459299869 The issue at hand is that a picture of a partial swastika appears in close proximity to the word FreeBSD - if you've seen a newspaper before, you might understand the pr...

Fix something small that gets in your way. Sew on a button, clean a grimy keyboard.

Speakeasers, we'd like to get emoji icons for everyone here who wants to participate. Vul made two waaaay back for Elle and herself (when they were the only two here) but we'd love to expand! So first... does anyone want to pick that up? And second... who would like an emoji icon if we get a volunteer?

As a reminder to everyone... running an instance isn't free. Even if ppl are doing stuffs from home, adminning and mod stuffs take time and can drain ppl mentally. We prob spend 5-15 hours a week on stuffs, for ex. We think that's pretty light tbh. Modmins of other instances prob do a lot more. If u love Fedi, then maybe ask ur instance what u can do to help? #Fedi #FediMods #FediAdmin

Mastodon users, moderators, and admins... is there a way to turn OFF the "from someone you might know" filter? We find it heavy handed and irritating; we've missed requests and questions because mastodon itself filtered them. We can't seem to find an option, but masto's account stuffs is kiind of... weird. #mastodon #fedi #FediMod #FediAdmin

Good morning, We are reviewing the attempted spam sign-ups we've rejected this month and blocking the throwaway email domains. If we see a pattern of IP stuffs, we'll probably block those too. ---- With this new wave of attempted spammy sign ups, we again revisit our opinion that OPEN REGISTRATION HARMS THE FEDIVERSE. Okie, look. We are a small instance, but we get between 10 and 20 failed bot sign-ups a week. If we were open registration, that would be 10-20 spam / bot acco...

We've been quiet on the Fediblock tag but we're still here and paying attention. The latest spam sign-up attempt waves mean that we are are working on importing the most commonly used disposable email domains. If there is an easier way, we would enjoy hearing.
