We have NLRB election dates for the US staff unionization! We are pleased to announce that the Wikimedia Foundation leadership signed a stipulated agreement with us that will allow eligible U.S. Wikimedia workers to proudly vote for the formation of our U.S. branch with the Communications Workers of America (CWA). 1,280 #Wikimedia volunteers have pledged willingness to go on strike in solidarity with #WikiWorkersUnited https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Wiki_Workers_United_solidarity making us less than 100 signatures from being the most supported proposal or petition in the history of the English-language #Wikipedia. I never expected the level of support this would get, but I also never expected that the main driver of that support would be the #WikimediaFoundation managing to do the exact wrong thing at every possible turn.
